Interviewing For An Experienced Compound Pharmacy Representative
(Excellent Compensation Package) Not Another “Me Too” Compounder

Our client is an independently owned, highly specialized Compounding Pharmacy that has been operating since April xxxx and a member of 7 statewide and nationally accredited organizations. The managing pharmacist/owner has been there for 5 years. They serve as a facility for clinical research and are a wealth of information on the pharmaceutical treatment of pain. Physicians call the pharmacy every day for advice with a wide variety of pain management cases. The pharmacy does their own research and is able to recommend treatments that even specializing physicians may not be fully familiar with. Most medications are shipped out with overnight delivery. A nurse follows up with the patients in one to two weeks after they receive their medication to receive feedback on the outcome. There are low cash options available and most prescriptions get filled since the pharmacy’s provider contracts are solid, without audit pressures. It will remain that way, as it is their core belief, along with the following:
Compounding prescriptions should be filled timely, effectively and safely.
Reps should be fairly compensated and have timely (weekly) and accurate reporting.
Have multiple, key, solid insurance contracts in place and offer great Medicare and cash alternatives.
Have a dependable, refill follow up program in place that results in predictable patient fulfillment and rep compensation.
Have an accessible back office that adjudicates, coordinates benefits, processes prior authorizations, and makes medication available for non-covered patients, etc.
Is constantly seeking new topical medications and other products that can be marketed to physicians and the rep is fairly compensated on.
Have a great initial orientation and training program in place administered by a seasoned, knowledgeable field rep/Sales Manager that is committed to help motivated reps succeed.

They are seeking a few ethical, career minded Compound Pharmacy Representatives that have established relationships with ethical physicians who believe in and are currently prescribing compounded pharmaceuticals to their patients. We are only interviewing representatives that have current experience and know this business. To apply you must have current physician relationships that generate above 30 physician Rx referrals per month. Most of the reps that we have hired for our clients have averaged 70+ Rxs, some over 200+ Rxs +/month. At this time we are interested in only speaking with compounding reps that are primarily servicing physicians in pain management, orthopedics, podiatry, wound care, rheumatology, OBGYN, anesthesiology, plastic surgery, pediatrics, internal medicine, family practice, veterinary, urology and sports medicine.
This is an industry that is currently plagued with long refill times, subpar reporting, and aggressive formulations that are subject to increased scrutiny and reviews from insurance companies for every script that is adjudicated. Fortunately, our client pharmacy is on the right path, offering a great opportunity for longevity in this business.
